This tower defense strategy game has a very high replay value. There are a lot of amulets to win (trophies in the game), skills to complete learning, and so many levels and 9 battle modes each level. All these probably contribute to the fact that it takes a while to load but it's all worth it.
The graphics are great and you get to save your game (uses local disc space) which is really a necessity because you won't be able to finish collecting all amulets in one day if that's your goal.
There are keyboard shortcuts that will help you get through the game easier, including a keyboard shortcut for gamespeed - which I think every strategy game should have especially for those waves that have really slow moving enemies.
I've enjoyed playing this game and have collected 69 unique amulets so far.
TIPS:
- If you can't beat a level, you can re-distribute skill points and activate the skills that you really need for that level.
- I have Dual Gem Mastery upgraded max and found it very helpful in all levels. I try to combine Lime gems with everything else... Lime gems make shots bounce and thus damage a lot more enemies with one shot. And if combined with other gems, each shot carries the other gems' attributes (double damage, slow, etc).
- Try not to create towers, traps and not use bombs if it can be helped. These are the easiest amulets or bonuses you can get in a game.
- You can play a level several times but it doesn't mean that the points (experience) stack up. For example, if you finish level 1 in normal mode with 700 points, the 2nd time you finish it with 724 points, only 24 points will be added to the experience.
